"Vincent"

This dramatic portrayal of master artist Vincent van Gogh was written by Hilda Petrie-Coutts. The recent concert highlights from a show that astonished with its breadth of emotion and deep poignancy, was revealed by her son, Wernher Pramschufer, through his passionate music which disturbs and enchants, on May 2005 at Brisbane's Conservatorium on the South Bank.

Thriller

A beefy track that merges a powerful backbeat with tortuous orchestral stabs and huge guitar riffs. This track was written for a car chase scene and grabs the listener and will not let you go until the finish.

Afghan Lament

Wernher Pramschufer has written a suite of pieces about Afghanistan which offer a window into this deeply troubled land.

Composing with a fusion of classical music and ethnic instruments these pieces not only take the listener to some darkly disturbing places but to some truly inspirational ones as well.

Mother

This piece is the beginning a major classical work that has been written for my mother Hilda Petrie-Coutts. Hilda is an astonishing writer, poet and artist and has offered a lifetime of love, kindness and inspiration not only to her children Wernher, Karl, Tania and Wolff but to so many other people in many lands.

The music begins with a gentle pastoral theme, which builds slowly, representing the stream of her amazing life. The work will continue to grow and will be eventually be performed by a professional orchestra.
